Demonstrations

GlassWorks consists of 25,000 square feet of gallery, studio and working space, ideal for large groups, receptions and parties. The front room, spacious gallery that adjoins the working artist studios highlights the designs created by prominent local New Orleans artists, who often collaborate with the visiting European masters. Twice featured on the travel segment of NBC's Today Show, The New York Times, Boston Globe, and CNN, the facility is ideal for narrated demonstrations by master craftsmen and artisans. Wine and cheese tastings are a favorite reception. Guests can design their own wine glass as the master artisans demonstrate their techniques. Enjoy classic New Orleans cuisine and ambience of a jazz combo. Casting your hand in glass, pulling your very own print, or torch working a glass figure is popular with both adults and young adults alike. Narrated group tours can be scheduled in advance for hands-on "make and take" demonstrations and receptions for all ages by appointment. Please contact us by email at neworleansglassworks@gmail.com or call New Orleans ArtWorks at (504) 529-7279 during office hours, 11:00am - 5:00pm.
