Metal Sculpture Classes

Have you ever admired metal sculpture and wondered how it was created? This is the ideal class for the beginner, or for those who wish to continue their adventures in welded, metal, sculptural objects. The excitement of creating! Hands-on demonstrations will contribute to fabricating sculptural and functional architectural metal art using copper and steel. The students will be introduced to arc welding, oxy-acetylene welding, and mig welding, complemented by cutting and bending techniques, including finishing procedures in the metal studio. Your completed designs will give you the skills needed to continue on your own. Resources for materials and equipment will be made available at the completion of this course. The school provides all materials and tools for this course. Metal students need to wear long, cotton pants and a long-sleeved cotton shirt to each class. Limited to 4 students.
